Some systems also have tailgating prevention, so if you allow access to one person, it is logged if three other people follow inside behind the first.

Using this kind of technology is much more efficient than the old lock and key and human monitoring. While human intervention is still necessary, allowing access (or not) is much simpler and faster using a Smart Access Control system.
